For no apparent reason, today rocks! Went home for a brief lunch, found out that my traffic ticket has to be mailed in by tomorrow or else I lose the "early payment" reduction in points (It was a 4 pt. ticket, but will be reduced to 2 pts. if I follow through, although it should have been a 6 pt. ticket, but the cop was very cool). Anyway, I've been working all day long and getting quite a bit accomplished, but not enough to catch up, grrr... I will probably work through as much of the weekend as I can while making time for rabiderpixie's party. We're having girls over this weekend, as always:D Looking forward to this weekend, needless to say...</span>
deviant1 for the tix to the comedy club... I needed the laughs:) Thank you! Ran into an old coworker at the show... It was really good to see that he was doing well...
Anyway, back to work... got much to do...

Alright folks, listen up... you need, no, you must run this program *pendulum swinging in front of your eyes*... Predictor@Home via BOINCIt predicts protein structures from protein sequences:) It will run on your SPARE CPU cycles. If you are running something like NT/2000/XP or some UNIX flavor, please contribute. We have a team you can join, hint, hint... The Movement of Fear's Team @ PredictorIf you have ANY questions, please post them here... I will help you get this running on your 'puter(s)... If you have any servers, you can run BOINC as a service:) SETI@Home uses BOINC now as well, feel free to join that project as well. Currently I'm only running predictor, as I see it has a greater, immediate potential than SETI@Home (plus there aren't as many users, yet)... However, MOF has a SETI@Home team as well... Holler if you want the link to that team posted here as well... Current Mood: productive Current Music: Manson - Down in the Park

This weekend was weird... I was soooo tired all weekend long, I barely got anything done. Oh well, at least I'm up early and feeling good this morning. Hanging out with everyone at the house was good... Normally the kids are reinvigorating, but I guess I was too tired. This week will be productive and pleasant... I insist... lol... I was supposed to help a friend pack, go to a b-day party and go to Ren Fest with some other friends... None of these happened... Needless to say, this weekend won't be repeating itself... I wasn't depressed or anything, just fuckin' tired and out of it... Anyway, enough bitching...
I need to start my piano lessons or grep the Internet for some sheet music to fuck around with. I originally learned to play by ear, but that only gets me so far. I'm needing to brush up on my reading and executing. My honeymoon period with my workstation is nearly over and I've learned a tremendous amount about it, but there is still more (evil grin)... For those of you that care, it's a Roland Fantom-s workstation. I've got it hooked up to a dedicated PC for recording via Digital Coax and, of course, MIDI. I'm pleased with most of the features, but kinda wish it had a Digital Coax input instead of just the output. The new Fantom-X series has this, but I wasn't willing to spend twice as much just for a few features. The Fantom-s uses SmartMedia cards (which completely blow!!) while the Fantom-X boards use PCMCIA/PCCards. The difference is that with the PCCard slot you can use any kind of "portable" media, like compact flash cards (which are the way to go or SD cards)... Anyway, I could go on for hours about these little things.
Anyway, my roomie is starting his new job this morning:) His first real venture into this biz. I'm excited and happy for him. It's good work, probably mundane at times, but I'm hoping he'll have the initiative to figure out small ways to automate his workload. Doing that would surely grant him a permanent position with his company:) And I'll ask him about what he's doing in detail so I can help him with figuring out the automation aspects... hint, hint...
Got a speeding ticket, yes another, a while ago... Need to mail it in today so I can get the automatic plea bargain... Suck! The cop was cool about it. I noticed he wrote in the original speed and then wrote over it a slower speed. One that would allow me to have the automatic plea bargain as a 2 point defective vehicle charge. Who said cops can't be cool? Maybe it was because I played ignorant, or because I spotted him and pulled right over... He didn't even have to get on his bike to chase me. Anyway, I'm slowing down on the roads, well trying to...
So, anyone have anything exciting to share about this weekend???

Went to Sushi Den last night and had my fill of the best Sushi in Denver! We were celebrating Rafi's b-day:) I think my favorite piece of the night was the Salmon/Caviar hand roll... well, maybe the Ikura (Salmon Roe)... Hell, it was all awesome... Thx to Gwen for halving the bill:D Too bad she didn't have any sushi:( Someday maybe her taste buds will change and she'll be able to enjoy it;0 Anyway, it's the start of a new work week and I have a ton to do. I feel a little bit behind on my projects, but that's what can happen in software, eek... So needless to say, this week will be extremely productive so I can catch up! Or at least it better be damn close. Oh, just got a call from Rafi that he accepted the offer from Sharper Agent as a web developer!!! I'm very happy about that and can only imagine how happy he is. It's taken a few years of work for him to build up to this level and now it's paying off... lotsa, lotsa hard work...
Also, I need to thank Jon & Chelsea, Jeff and Cuyler & Carol for the wonderful house warming gifts!!! THEY ROCK! I need to find or make some thank you cards... note to self...
And of course, RabiderPixie for all her wonderful help and everything else... :)
